How can we ever measure the positive impact our animals have on our lives?
Here are photos and stories about some of the animals adopted from Forever Paws over the years.

Thank you to their loving pet parents for sharing these cuties.

If you have photo of a pet you adopted from Forever Paws please email it as a .jpg attachment to fpas1@verizon.net and we'll add your buddy to our photo album. Thanks!

Hello,
I adopted a cat from you folks 8 months ago (today!) and I just wanted to let you know that it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Having recently lost my pet cat of 19 1/2 years I wasn't looking to get a new pet right away. After checking your web site though I spotted Bruce, a toothless, all black, "senior" cat. I adopted him the next day.

Bruce has been the perfect cat and made my family's life that much more fulfilling. Thank you all for the great service and I will be sure to recommend you to any friends who want to get a pet in the future.

Thanks a bunch,
Tom (and Bruce)

Dear Friends,

Attached is a picture of Tescelin, formally known as April! I just wanted you to know that she is settling in VERY nicely, and getting along exceptionally well with her older (by one month) brother Alberic. At the moment she's napping, but has been busy the past couple of days (since bringing her home on the 19th) exploring the many rooms of the rectory! Thanks for allowing me to adopt her! I am delighted to have her as a part of the household ... and she seems to be happy with it too!!!

Many thanks!
Fr. Hamel

We just wanted to let you know that Ernest
(we call him Jack) is doing great.  We adopted him in February of this year.  He and Molly, our eight month old Beagle, love to play tug of war with their toy rope.  The two of them are inseparable and love to play for hours on end.  Jack was very shy and distant when he first came home, but he is growing more and more attached to us every day.  He now loves to be cuddled and given kisses and he really loves to go to the beach and run in the water.  He has come a long way in the past few months we have had him and we are grateful that he is a part of our family.  Thank you for letting us adopt Jack and for making Molly one happy little Beagle......

The Pereira Family

My Husband and I just got married, and were about to move into a new cat friendly apartment.
So I was on Petfinder in August of 2006 looking for a cat for us.
I didn't want a kitten because adult cats need homes too!

We couldn't wait to get a kitty. I saw Dizzy's picture he looked so cute with his Black tail with the white tip. Well, a few months went by and we were waiting for our landlord to finish with the renovations on our new apartment. Once we moved in, I searched petfinder.com again and wouldn't you know it, Dizzy was STILL THERE! I told my husband we HAD to go see him!

So I emailed the shelter and made an appointment to see Dizzy.
They put us in a room and brought him in. What a ham he was! So friendly and in such good spirits for a shelter kitty. He was jumping on us and doing cute little tricks.
He was purring up a storm and he was just so cute I had to have him.

We filled out the application and I told the girl the story of how I had seen him months before and I couldn't understand why such a wonder kitty didn't have a loving home. Most people don't want adult cats, they want kittens. So the adult cats are the ones left to live in a shelter.

Two days later I got the call, Dizzy was ours!!!

Dizzy is a wonderful addition to our family. He has taken over our house and our hearts.
He will be with us for a long long time!

We are enclosing photos of us and our beagle Daisy (formerly Frannie) that we adopted from your shelter about a year and a half ago. As you can see, she is a very happy beagle! She recently had a mini birthday party and also celebrated her first Xmas with us this past December. She loves to destroy squeaky toys, running around in her "grandparents" backyard, and going for walks. We are extremely thankful that we were given the opportunity to provide a loving home for her.

Sincerely, Daisy's "parents" Diane and Arian

I adopted Amos in January.
I just wanted to let you know he is doing great.
He is a sweet boy that has settled in to his new home quite well.
His seperation anxiety is much better (no more peeing in the house!).
He loves his morning walks. He is not much of a ball player, but enjoys a chew-eeze every once in a while, And if by himself, makes himself quite comfortable on the livingroom furniture. ...Raquel
