This is a sampling of some of the wonderful businesses and people who have donated to Forever Paws.
If you would like to be recognized, please contact Liz at the Shelter and we'd be happy to include you and your donations as well.

The Back Eddy

The staff of The Back Eddy in Westport chose Forever Paws Animals Shelter for their holiday donation this year.  Monica Biszko is pictured delivering the goods with the help of shelter volunteer Manny Casimiro. Many thanks to all who participated for thinking of the animals of Forever Paws!

Thanks to Winnie Kelly

Forever Paws Animal Shelter would like to take this opportunity to thank one of our biggest supporters:  Winnie Kelly of Fall River.  Winnie has adopted cats from us, makes regular generous donations of food and other items we need, and recently donated a Kuranda Cat Tower for one of our cat rooms. Thank you, Winnie for your unwaivering support!  MEoW!!  : )

Rocky's Ace

On Tuesday, Dec. 27th, store manager Adam Pavao from Rocky's Ace Hardware of President Ave., Fall River came to Forever Paws and presented a truckload of donations!  Adam adopted a dog from us earlier this year and remembered all the animals still waiting for their forever homes this holiday season.  Pictured with Adam are Forever Paws employees Faye Brabant, Jim Griffin and Liz Medeiros along with manager Erin Pacheco.  Thank you Adam, and everyone at Rocky's Ace!!

In Honor of Megan

12 year old Ally Toupin of Fall River raised $70 for our shelter in honor of her mother's friend Megan Mandeville, a Forever Paws Animal Shelter volunteer.  She came to visit us on Friday, Dec. 23rd to present her donation.  Thanks, Ally!  : )

Holiday Spirit from Students at Greene School

The fifth grade classes of Miss Afflerbach and Mrs. Oliveira at the Wm. S. Greene School in Fall River got into the holiday spirit this year and collected donations for our animals.  Miss A. and students (from left to right) Hailey Pereira, Alexis Vilela, and Jasmine Manteiga presented the donations, along with $255.00, to our manager Erin Pacheco on 12/22/11.  Our heartfelt thanks to all the students who participated in this drive.   A+ !!

Goodies!

Sascha Duggan of Tiverton is another young person who recently had a birthday and instead of presents, asked for donations for our shelter.  She delivered her goodies this past weekend, and we would like to thank her very much, from the bottom of our hearts and paws!!

Thank You Kaitlyn

A very heartfelt thank you to Kaitlyn Fagan, who turned 11 years old recently.  At her birthday party, she accepted supplies for our shelter rather than get gifts for herself.  She came to the shelter on Saturday, December 3rd to present them to us.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank Katilyn, her friends and her family.

Contribution from Ameriprise

On October 18, 2011 representatives from Ameriprise Financial presented funds raised by their company to Forever Paws Animal Shelter.  Donations came from a clambake held in August. The fundraising effort was spearheaded by Joseph Souza (far left), a financial advisor at Ameriprise and long time friend and benefactor of the shelter.  David Allen and Thomas Pippit of Ameriprise joined Joe in presenting the checks to Elizabeth Tidwell, and Shelter Manager Erin Pacheco.  Thanks Joe and thank you, Ameriprise!

Special Lady, Special Day

On July 7th, Evelyn Wordell of Little Compton was honored by Forever Paws Animal Shelter for her many years of dedicated service as a volunteer.

Evelyn worked with the shelter's large cat population for over a dozen years.  She was known to offer her beautiful voice in song to the residents, decorate their rooms with matching pillows and linens and take extra care to hold and comfort "her cats".

Evelyn is pictured receiving her certificate of appreciation from Faye Brabant, of the Forever Paws staff who manages the cat population.

Evelyn recently retired and is enjoying life with her husband Brad.

Although she is missed at the shelter, we wish her many peaceful and happy days ahead.

Pool Party Anyone?

This time of year a pool certainly is great, and Ryan and Jared Silverman of Somerset had a pool party for friends and family in honor of their birthdays on July 16th.  What's even better is that they asked for supplies for our shelter instead of gifts!!  This week we received all of the donations and want to say thanks guys!  Happy Birthday and stay cool!

Nine.. And a Half!

Emma Gabriel of Mattapoisett MA is going to turn 10 years old two days after Christmas.

But, her family likes to celebrate in the summer when Emma has her "half birthday".  What good fortune for everyone at Forever Paws!!  In lieu of gifts for herself, when Emma turned 9 1
/2 in June she asked her family and friends to donate food, toys, linens and other goods for our animals.  She presented them to us on July 19th.  Pictured with Emma (holding the kitten) are her older sister Sofia and her friend Danya Bichsel, also of Mattapoisett.  Thank you, meeooww, woof woof, Emma!!

Giving Back

Steven Duffy of New Bedford came to visit our shelter on May 14th.  He brought dog and cat food for our animals as his way of "giving back to the community".  Thank you, Steven!

Hanah Turns 11!

Hanah Cincotta of Tiverton RI turned eleven on May 7th this year.  This beautiful young lady (who declined having her picture taken) brought $130 to our shelter that she asked her friends and family to donate, instead of bringing her gifts.  Hanah is a bit quiet, but sure knows how to speak very loudly when it counts!!   A big thanks to Hanah and her friends from all of the animals at Forever Paws.

A Good Lesson

Members of Swansea Brownie Troop 674 came to present us with donations on April 18th.  This drive not only helped our animals but helped teach these young girls a valuable lesson.  They had to actually do chores to earn the money to purchase some donations and then go out and collect other contributions.  They were taught to work for what they feel is important, and we learned how generous our children are!  We at the shelter also learned to take more than one photograph!  Sorry it is blurry girls.

Pictured are troop members Morgan Sullivan (7), Mikenna Sullivan (5) along for support, and Haley Correia (celebrating her 8th Birthday!).  Thanks girls.  Keep up the good work!

Young Lady with a Big Heart

Delaney Lippert of Tiverton RI is now 8 yrs. old!  In recent years her family has adopted three cats from our shelter.  Her Brownie troop has visited and donated to us in the past. When she celebrated her birthday this year, Delaney decided to invite her entire 2nd grade class from Wilbur McMahon school to her party!  BUT, instead of expecting to receive all gifts for herself, this young lady requested that her friends bring donations for Forever Paws. On February 22nd, Delaney and her family brought what she had collected. Pictured with Delaney is kennel worker Derick Rodrigues.  Many thanks to our friend Delaney Lippert from the Board of Directors, staff and all the animals!

Swansea Girl Scouts Drive for Donations

Swansea Girl Scout Troop 1030, under the leadership of Kim Botelho, visited the shelter on Sunday Feb. 28th.  The girls advertised in local media and arranged drop off points for donations for our animals.  They collected and brought in items themselves and even made toys!  Pictured are (from left to right):  Heather Brabant, Sydney Correa, Kori Botelho, Syndey Duquette, Dorian Grant and Kristen Anselmo.

Thanks Girls!!

Party Goods!

Mark Seferian, Jr. recently turned 9 yrs. old!  He asked all of his friends to make donations of cat and dog food to Forever Paws Animal Shelter, rather than bring him presents!  What an unselfish act of kindness to help our four legged friends.  Mark lives in Tiverton, and is welcome to come and visit with his buddies anytime!

Friends of Forever Paws

Friends of Forever Paws held an old fashioned Spaghetti and Meatball dinner Sunday, Sept. 20th.  They raised over $1500 to help the area's stay, abused and neglected animals!  Seen presenting the proceeds to Treasurer Beverly Andrade are Chairperson Ronald Santos, and cooks Donald Ouellette and Rick Feigo.

Thanks for a job well done!!

A Beautiful Smile and a Big Heart

Many thanks to Morgan Lafrance, a very generous young lady who saved her "pennies" and came to Forever Paws on August 13th to present us with a $40 donation!!

More Generous Young People

Luke and Grace Dube, of Somerset, turned 7 years old on May 5th!  And, what's better than that is that they asked all of their birthday guests to donates items to the animals at Forever Paws.  Suggestions were made from our Wish List, and a generous monetary donation was also made.
Thank you Grace!  Thank you Luke! And, Happy Birthday!!

Volunteer Leadership in Action

The Volunteer Leadership Group from F.L. Chamberlain School in Middleboro MA came to visit Forever Paws, and donate items they had collected on Wednesday, May 6th.  Unfortunately, their visit coincided with cleaning time, but they promised to come back again for a better tour, and to look into volunteer opportunities.
Thank you from all of our four legged friends!

Blessings from First Congregational Church

Members of the sunday school from First Congregational Church of Fall River visited the shelter on Sunday, April 26th, and blessed our animals with donations of food, blankets, and litter.  The church will be hosting a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, May 17 beginning with a Petting Zoo and Pony Rides at 9:00.  Call 508-672-5862 for more information and Thanks from Forever Paws!

Community Connections Helps with Donations

On April 2nd staff and members from the Day Center of Community Connections, President Ave., Fall River, visited our shelter.  They donated cat and dog food, cleaning supplies and bedding. Their sunny smiles certainly brightened up a rainy day.  A heartfelt thanks from the staff and all the animals who will benefit from their thoughtfulness and generosity!

Thank you Solomon & Friends!

When Solomon Silvia's family adopted a cat from the shelter in October, he started thinking of some way he could help all of the animals here. On Feb. 17th, Solomon and his mother presented us with a wide variety of wonderful, much needed items his friends had given him as gifts for his 6th birthday!  Solomon had requested this, instead of presents for himself.  He was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for his thoughtfulness and caring.  We often receive donations from Scout troops and older children, but this act of selflessness from someone so young especially touched our hearts.  What a fine example Solomon is.. to us all. Thank you Solomon, and all of your friends, from all of us here at Forever Paws.

Gagnon's Pet Grooming
2046 South Main St.
Fall River MA
(508) 674-2349

Gagnon’s Pet Grooming has been a partner, and supporter of Forever Paws for years.
They have always been willing to donate time, and in some cases many long hours of work, to groom our animals most desperately in need.  This goes a long way toward not only their physical health and hygiene, but their adoptability.
In addition, Gagnon’s regularly donates high quality food designed for specific health concerns, along with various supplies we are regularly in need of.

We cannot thank them enough for their generosity and friendship.  Gagnon’s Pet Grooming has been in operation for 35 years.  They are consistently, and highly, recommended by all those in the animal-care professions. Without generous business partners like Gagnon’s, the Shelter would not be able to operate as we do, and provide the quality of care to our animals that they deserve.

Thank you Ray, Corrie, Jen and everyone at Gagnon’s Pet Grooming!
Please call or visit them, and while in the area come see all our four legged friends at the shelter!
